What are the odds that you could make the EPro8 team

On Wednesday the 14th of June every class from Pūtahi Mātāhae syndicate competed one class at a time. On thursday 10 students from each class competed to battle it out to see who will make one of the two teams which they will go to compete in the external competition against other schools.

This is what some of the contestants had to say, (Isabelle) “At first I thought it was gonna be very boring but it turned out to be fun” she then made it through to one of the 2 teams going to the External competition at Kaiapoi North. Lisbon, another participant  said “At first I thought we were going to be building legos, then I realized that we were making proper structures with proper metal rods.” Then went on to sadly not make one of the External competition team’s.

Last year Miss Wing (the EPro8 coordinator) said when the 2 Pūtahi teams made it to the semi finals, “I am very excited to see the teams working so well” and this year said “ I see potential in both teams to make it to the semi finals” and this year the 2 Pūtahi Mātāhae teams will enter the External competition ready to win.
